I dont know too much about electronics and switches etc but
I need to make this change from being a reset switch to a power switch. I have connected it to the pwr pins on the MB. So when i press it it turns on the psu, at present it just turns on for a split second as its working like a reset. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I believe the reset and power switches are mechanically different.

In that case they seem to be. The power switch requires a momentary switch, whereas your reset switch seems to be a non-momentary switch.

I thought the power switch was momentary. Because if you hold the power swtch down (I.e continuously completing the circuit) then the PC will turn off. I think the switch must only complete the circuit for less than 1 second then 'disingage'. At least thats how it works on my pc.

As far as I know from my expereience they are both momentary contact switches. Maybe there is another underlying issue there.
