Right so once my exams end on the 16th of june, i have nothing to do for months and months, so here is my idea to fill time and create something great.

Plan outline: rip out the parts of an xbox, replace them with a PC worth of stuff, including a good gpu, and have it run as an emulator unit, to play old games with 4 usb controllers

Ideas:
-USB's will be fitted in controller slots
-replacing the centre logo with "GameBOX" with led backlit
-Have it with emulators to play anything up to Xbox itself (if possible)
-fully wireless, used as a HTPC when not playing games , or folding

Problems
-small mobo?
-tiny PSU
-small GPU
and which OS would be suitable?

Ill post progress here when i start for now this i am just planning (something to do in between study)

EDIT:meant to ask, has anyone done anything like that in the past?

It started with the idea of, that would look cool as a HTPC, but then while playing my super smash bros rom on my pc, i had an appiphany lol

sweet thanks man, one thing i wanna try but it may be too hard is having an interface pop up at startup to allow you to navigate using the usb joypads through the diff emulators and then roms, but im trying to think how i would achieve this, maybe a C++ app. (note to self learn C++)

Yea ill check that out then, ive actually been looking at mobo's lately, but i am thinking of waiting till i have the inside hollowed out before i buy any parts, so i know the exact plan for inner layout
