quick question is there a way you can show us how you re wiring the ccfl's i love trying to make things work like you did but not all that great in the re wiring and power thinking. one to many cushions does make you get dumber yes i said dumber

The CCFL tubes themselves, I just removed them from their housings and cleaned up the harness a bit. The only other change I made was to wire up relays so that the CCFLs can be controlled by the 5V Auxiliary output on the Matrix Orbital displays. Basically the 5V signal is connected across the coil, the +12V supply (from the molex) is connected to the relay common, the +12V to the CCFL inverter is connected to the Relay Normally Open, and the CCFL ground is connected to the +12V from the molex. I simply used connectors going through the PCI bracket so that it isn't necessary to open te case to be able to remove the radobase

Just use an automotive window tint. That would work perfect for that. Just remember to cut the tint back from the edges with a razor blade just slightly so that they do not peel back. Also be sure to wash and apply with soap and water. Great project!!!
