Default [repair]Back of Ipod *Now with Pictures

Average time*1 hour Fine details*2 hours

I saw a post here asking if An ipod Back face plate could be restored, And I thought to myself "shoot mines hella scratched up as well"
So I got out my Sand paper and went to work.
And It works Great if you dont care if the S/n aren't there any more...

Mine is as good as gold, now its back to that Apple mirror like finish.

Will post up pics when I get my Cam working again.

*Tips.
-Always Put down a soft cloth under your work, or you will scratch the other side.
-Try to always sand in one Direction
-Don't skip on the wet sanding with 1000+ Grit for the finishing touches it will look like crap
-Do not apply much pressure when doing Final sanding

Step 1: Put down cloth to sand on, this is a Must!(trust me I forgot scratched the screen)
Step 2:300 Grit for about 5 minutes you can go less or skip mine was in bad shape had some bigger nicks in it.
Step 3:340 Grit gets down so of the nicks the 300 left
Step 4:400 Grit
Step 5:1000 Grit... wet sand a must.
Step 6: optional Sand with anything 1000+

Posting pics soon any questions on how its done just ask.

P.s. I think if you started with a 1000 Grit and you didn't have any real bad scratches you could do this with out losing logo or S/N's

Wait, you sanded it? Why couldn't you just buff out the scratches?
