As far as i can see this kind of thing is rarely done because there are not many machines in which you can see the CD drive.

I did this originally as part of my competition build, but now that ive dropped out i may as well show you

Just a note because the case is steel you need to cover the center holder to stop fillings getting into it as its a magnet, and the design is kind of dictated by where the fixing points are on the outside of the casing.

It does work but is abit noisey lol.

And i have yet to paint this so please ignore the scuff marks

urgh it looks horrible especially all the unstraight edges and stuff. hopefully will try to fix this before paint....
