I love the TRUE on the Abit IC7 Max III. That was a godlike motherboard a few years ago. It had my 2.8 Gallatin at 3.5 Ghz

Agreed. Find it hard to believe that Abit are not makiing any more motherboards .

That board was to many people the best overclocking board for the 478 socket. That and the asus P4P800 series as i remember from back in the day.

well I got a surprise today - my RMA RAM came waaaay earlier! I was told ETA would be approx. end of Jan.

anyway, so I went straight to testing...

I'm in the middle of trouble-shooting.. but.. atm it looks like:



FAIL



I'm getting the same combo of diagnostic LEDs as before

only other possibilities are:
- i'm doing something wrong
- the mobo was rooted before I even started

its quite likely I'll be buying another mobo & this time test if it works first

here is the mobo manual
if u go to page 131 of the manual (adobe pages says 143) there it talks about the error codes & the LEDs.. if anyone knows how to decypher the lingo lemme know, I can post a pic of the LEDs as there is a combo that stays light after power-up

It basically puts out half a bit of hex. Unfortunately I can't work it out because I'm not very good at binary/hex.
If you maye a thread asking for someone who can work out a hex code from the lights that may help you. Good Luck.
