You are correct. NO Pentium D! Maybe, but highly unlikely, a Bios flash would support a dual core CPU, but without it, you're stuck on P4's, sorry

That psu is the same one I had in my old E521.
22amps and it could run a 8600GTS or 7950GT.

i am starting to doubt this pc now i am pretty sure i seen that it will support the pen D but no higher than that i think i saw a pen d 820

An 8xx series is not a 5 or 6 series.
