Don't mind kpo's attitude. He's always kind of Mr. Negative and straight to the point. You get used to him eventually and take his demeanor with a grain of salt. Truth be told, he actually has provided tons of useful information on here. But he rarely helps anyone out without making them feel like a complete idiot for asking. But hey, that's his journey.

Much love, kpo!

I know you didn't intend to come across that way. I've seen something of a trend in your posts though that lean in that direction. I certainly didn't mean it as an insult. I know people like that and they're some of my favorite people, because they don't hold back and tell it like it is. At least I know I can always count on the truth from them. But to people that don't know them like I do, they can sometimes rub the wrong way. But you are much help, and I was wanting the OP to know that you were only trying to help and your advice did have some significant value.

How about buying an 8800GT for $70AR...?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125089

The 8800GT only consumes 30W over the 8600GTS (source), and your 305W PSU should theoretically be able to handle the load. Worst case scenario, if it doesn't work, you can always return the video card and pay a mere $15 restocking fee, or just sell it in the forums. Worth the risk IMHO...

Your best bet would be to upgrade your video card and then carry it over to a new system. The only ones you can oc are XPS 720, 730, and the 630 I think.
