Guide located here.
I only linked to OCforums because the original site was down. I found it. Looks like they moved the guide to here.

No problem. Doesn't look that hard as long as you're handy with a soldering machine.
Yessss, 500 rep.

Until you get the resistors to do this mod the easiest and free way is to take an ordinary push button top writing pen and push the LED back into the case a bit. If it is still too bright then click the pen to push it back just a little further. You can even push it completely back into the case and you can still see a very faint glow. Been working like a charm for me since I bought this thing. Now that I see the mod I will go that route as soon as I wander near a Radio Shack.

I replaced the LEDs with green/red ones that aren't so bright, since my color scheme is green, and the blue didn't look so hot.
You need three-lead LEDs. However, if you only use one color anyway, you can just put in any LED you want.

I just completed this mod with the resistors today. Works like a charm! Took me longer to heat my soldering iron than to solder the resistors on. It is MUCH easier to reinstall the LED's with the controller out of the case. I would have to say that the brightness has cut down to about a fourth of what it was before.

Steady hand is the only thing needed to make that change...

w00t.... i just finished this mod =D used 22k ohm 1/4w resistors and got the helping hand.. helped a little. but there needs to be a way to move the hands left and right .. was hard using it with the leds a little.
did this mod to 2 sunbeam rhoebus's. works great!
