Default PS2 controller into a pedal, ghetto style *pics*

I was bored and decided to turn my old broken PS2 controller into a clutch pedal to complement my Momo wheel/pedals. The controller's left analog stick is really messed up, but everything else works. The pictures should explain themselves, but I'll give a short description.

This was made 100% out of spare parts, I didn't spend a penny on it. It contains parts from my computer case, half of my old school ID, hot glue, duct tape, paperclips, pieces of wood, wallet packaging, and everything else you see in the pics.

So what I did was take apart the controller, fold up the flexible circuit board from the buttons, put one of those black triangular paper clip things on the Analog button, since Analog isn't turned on by default. When I slightly press on the paperclip, it toggles Analog. I then glued a paperclip into the analog stick, and made it spring up with a rubber band. The pedal itself is connected to a thick paperclip (~2mm thick), which is hot glued and zip tied to the drive bay cover from my case. That goes into two sticks of wood, held together by more pieces of my case. Everything is hot glued together. The pedal pushes down on the stick, which makes it work. Just look at the pics.

It works well. Very sturdy. I've been playing with it for a couple hours and it's holding up fine, and I'm slamming on it and everything. It's not too heavy, so it slides on the floor, so I might attach it to the main pedals to keep it from moving. I'm only using it for LFS, as I don't know any other game that supports an axis-controlled clutch. Oh, and it's connected to my computer through a PS2 controller to USB adapter I had.

The pics are in order, showing how I built it. I only took pics of a couple build stages, but whatever. Feel free to comment and ask questions.

Thanks Although spray painting it would be too much work. It's under the desk anyway.

Well I wouldn't stomp on it, but then again I don't stomp on the other pedals either.

Yea, it's a good thing I keep all this crap in my junk drawer, because I know I'll find a use for it eventually.
