so almost a year ago now i decided to make this nunchuk i found (i dont even own a wii) into a controller for my computer. i want a mouse/nunchuk hybrid for an ultimate FPS game experience. but.. the problem is i have searched and searched and searched the internet for drivers or programs to make it work. when i plug it in it goes "duh-duh" so i know i connected the wires right. i have tried glovepie and that was no help at all. i even tried windows controllers. no luck with anything. it just collects dust in a box next to my desk, and it makes me really mad i cant use it. cuz it would be the perfect set up for counterstrike source or team fortress 2. so if anyone has any ideas i would REALLY appreciate it and i'm sure anyone else would like to do this to.http://www.overclock.net/images/smilies/grouphug.gif

I think the Nunchuck needs a different sort or power than USB power. It gets its power from the wiimote the wiimote uses two AA batteries. so if I am right about 3 volts. I think usb is 5. Someone check me on that.
Also I'm pretty sure the nunchuck has more than four pins, straight up running them to USB may not work. I think the best way to do it would be to prototype a controller board so you can connect the nunchuck to it and it will convert the signal to somthing the computer can use. Windows knows something is there, but that is just because of a completed circuit.

Well, a mod was released for Crysis that allows you to use the nunchuck... I know it isn't the same thing, but maybe you could ask the developers; also, they released the source code, so if you know C++ maybe you could make a similar mod in other games.
I honestly don't know how this PC-nunchuck connection is made to work, though, so I can't help very much. Best of luck.

I would get something like this http://www.tmove.net/index.php/compo...art/Itemid,30/
__________________I have a similar one that works for PS/ PS2/ GC/ and Xbox controllers. It also has a 2 port USB2.0 hub built in. I took mine out of the case and cut corresponding holes to mount in a 5.25" atapi slot cover in the front of my tower. It converts the controller signals to a generic USB controller counterpart so that the PC thinks a USB controller is connected. You could use the GameCube converter (wired to a USB port to work with the USB on the nunchuck) to convert the signal. The gamecube only has 4 or 5 controller wires inside the converter, so it would work just fine Once installed you can modify the controller converter settings to test the "throw" on the joystick of the controller, and map the other buttons. Then all you have to do is map out the controller configuration in-game.Good luck and happy modding.

You do know that you will need some form of USB encoder board to translate the data signals from what the wiimote uses to USB standard. It's a miracle you haven't fried a motherboard or USB card yet.
