Default Antec spot cool fan Mod help

How do I disable the leds on an antec spot cool fan? Quick n easy preferred. I just want the fan, some things are best left in the dark...lol. Thx in advance.

Plug it in so that the LED's are on and then locate the LED's. Take the whole thing out and look for wires leading to/from the LED's and cut them. You can even take the whole LED out if you want. It most likely won't short out but if you are worried, just tape up each individual wire, although you will probably be OK.

if the led circuit is separate from the fan motor circuit you could always accidentally overload the leds until they cook

The leds on the Spot cool are soldered to a board separate from the fan motor they are surface mount leds, if you have a soldering iron you could just heat up the solder and take the leds off.
