simple carbon fiber g15 keyboard mod - Overclock.net

for some reason i wanted to make my g15 keyboard look like carbon fiber so i went down to halfords and got this sheet of fake carbon fiber it looks really fake but it looks alright on my keyboard because i only coverd the grey part.

i think i could have done a better job but it took ages trying to stretch the sticky bits around the curves and tuck it around the edges. i just got impatient and just cut it up with a stanley knife in the end, aparently the material was heat shrinkable but i couldnt find a heat shrink gun or a hair dryer, that probably would have helped alot.

i was wondering too, i heard somebody did this with their g15keyboard (the older model with blue lights) somebody commented saying they wil try it and also try to change the leds.

i wanted to change the lights in mine to green or white but it didnt have regular leds they were little square lights like you find on a motherboard, also the lcd lights cannot be changed on this model :/

has anybody managed to change the lights on their g15?
