You mean the color version? Was recently in Home Depot asking the Paint Dept. guy about it. He said he usually stocks white as well, but sells out too quickly. I said "well stock more of it... sounds simple enough". He said he wished he could but it's not up to him.

Dude... people are getting hooked on this stuff. Wife and I might use it on a tire when we put together a tire swing.

I just did my hard drive cages with 3 thick layers, and wow does it make a major difference. I snagged a little of the plasti-dip on one hard drive, but the rest went in just fine (dry time was 24 hours).

I was 100% sure that all my noise was minimized, and it was just my large fans making all the noise, but it turns out my hard drives were much noisier than I thought. It is almost an unbelievable difference; like I shut off one of my large server fans.

I am probably late in the conversation, but its my understanding with clear coat lacquers that you need to buff, re-apply, buff, re-apply, for at least 3 coats... This from a hot rodder I knew in the 80's. Is this wrong?

Bump. Hey guys are you priming your metal before using PD?

I am having a hell of a time keeping it from bubbling when applied over primer.

I didn't prep my case or psu at all before I sprayed them with PD. Mine didn't bubble or anything, looks much better than the stock gray. Did you try sanding the primer some? It might just not have a good surface to stick to.

I didn't apply any primer to any of my items.

Just cleaned off with Windex or Simple Green, dried it with a soft cloth, and sprayed away.

This is pretty cool and I'd imagine perfect for shrouds and the like.

SmasherBasher, have you considered using a seal-coat between the plastidip and the clear? I would try something like Zinsser's Seal Coat - maybe I'll give this a whirl as soon as I can free up some time.
