I had actually considered brushing it onto the shiny side of a HDD when I was on the way home from HD. The thing is, wouldn't it immediately void the warranty?

I am upping the ante now, moving to the spray can. I have a few different finishes I am going to test on and see how the results come out and also see how durable they are. more soon.
