I have them set up as digital though in Windows. No need for those to be analog.

Easy as pie. Also easy to change the plugs on the front of the xbox to USB. Good for a keyboard/mouse setup.

okay, maybe i'm misunderstanding something there.

Do the analog triggers on the 360 gamepad have analog triggers on the xbox controller to match?

Just curious, because if they don't, then that would suck in my opinion.

the yellow wire is NOT for pressure. its for the live headset that would normally plug into the controller

x2 for it being USB. when I put linux on one of my old xboxes, I converted a controller to regular USB and converted #3 & #4 controller ports to normal USB

then I had a dualbooting machine with a biogger harddrive, load it up, wait for the timer to go, you load linux. press any button during the timer, you load the evox dashboard

no modchip FTW

another xbox had 3&4 modded to normal USB spec so I could use a usb mouse and keyboard with the XBMC system and internet browsing when I had a high def screen borrowed from a friend.

NO the yellow is a sync wire. It's would have been used for future system upgrades. It's synced to the horizontal of your TV.

Quote:
The yellow cable itself outputs a 3.3V CMOS compatible signal, which is a 15.734kHz pulse train, which is synchronised with the HSync signal of the xbox composite video output. This enables it to be used for light pens or guns.

Great tutorial, now if only someone can figure a mod for the original xbox controller to make it not so damn big! Meanwhile I'll stick to my 360 controller

They have the original big one and a smaller model. I have both which work fine for me since I dont have small hands.
