Just wanted to share with you all a quick dvd-drive mod that I did last night.
Basically I have a dvd drive that has a white face plate which contrasts pretty bad with the black drive bay covers on my case. (BTW this case was a $25 purchase back in the day - but I think I've snazzed it up quite a bit with the side window I put in and now this). So anyway I remembered that I had the extra black drive bay cover around so I decided to make a semi-stealth dvd drive. (semi because the only eject button I have is white )pictures (cellphone quality ) :![]() disregard the IDE drive you see through the window kinda hangin' there - it's being used for a test I'm doing) ![]() ![]() If anyone wants me to post any pictures of the process let me know. It was fairly simple though - pretty much involved some hot glue and an exacto. Hardest part was cutting out the hole for the eject button with the exacto knife since I couldn't find my dremel. Simple mod I know - but I felt like sharing.

Looks pretty, I want to do this to my next build... drive bays never seem to match the case very well. +rep. Wouldnt mind a couple more photos but as you say, seems fairly straight forward.

Ok here's the back of the face plate too (as you can see I had to add a dab of glue to the back of the eject button so it would hit the button on the drive):
