See that's the confusing thing it has 3 leads I believe the one is for stability. Both of the others however go to electronics.. Maybe I should take a pic.. Give me a few.

I screenied the pic lol
Red is what i believe to be the stability. The top one leads to the outer contact and the lower one to the pointed inside piece.

it's hard to see what's going on in the top left corner due to the glare/lighting, but it looks like the top lead may be the positive since that are + signs where the traces from there connect to CC7 and CC8

Do you have a multimeter? Check the resistence from the plug to that point?
BTW, I did this to replace the power brick for my switch. I have a 5-port switch inside my case running off the ATX PSU's +5v.

are you sure there's no ring & tip polarity diagram anywhere on that thing, even raised on the plastic itself, near the connection area?
