LMAO! "First hovercraft mouse"

Here's an idea, instead of a fan inside the mouse, what about a vertical fan in front of the mouse, perhaps attached to the mouse pad?

You think wrong.

Anyway, it is a really cool idea (pun intended?) but I would caution you to go buy a couple $3 used mice to test on first.

I know there are some tiny fans out there used to cool hard drives and the like, probably fit just fine in most mice. Then if you use a USB mouse you could solder the power connectors there and have juice.

It should be doable, post pics if you do it!
