Default Problem with changing fan's LED lights

Hey guys I read on here how to change out the LED's color to another color so I went ahead and started. Problem was that the wires going from the fan's PCB to the LED light was exactly the length needed and I had to cut some wire off because it was glued over and other stuff like that. Now the problem is I can't figure out where to buy that size wire to redo the whole wire itself, I don't know how to measure what guage it is. It's super small and Radio shack doesn't carry anything like that. Would I be able to just soder speaker wire on from the PCB to the light if the speaker wire is a little thicker, or does someone know what gauge I should buy or something. The fan I'm modding is the front 230mm fan of the HAF 932 case. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

any wire will do as long as its not to thin, thiner the wire the more it will heat up which can lead to melting plastic are fires!

so basicly use any thickness as long as its not to much thiner than the old wire, if u wanna be safe just use somthing slightly thicker and ull have no problems at all.
