Lots of routers have issues with overheating, adding a fan and/or heatsinks is the obvious solution and has been done for years. This is just how you do it with a little flair.

Well, the antenna did boost the signal. The original router had only internal antennas. The router did run hot, so I assume the ram sinks help as increasing surface area helps dissipate heat.

But yeah there were definitely more subtle ways to go about doing this but I've always wanted to do case modding and this was a chance for me to dip my toes into the case modding water.

next time water cool the thing, that would be epic, if you have a water cooled comp you should add that thing into the loop
