I have the the USR9108 a friend gave to me,and it was constantly disconnecting, only to reconnect after a restart every3-4 hours of gaming, torrents etc...
So i came up with an idea about cooling it down a bit cos the cover got really hot!!! I had a spare DFI X48 heatsink lying around so i cut the routers cover a bit and i fitted the cooler in with sOme AKASA thermal pad.And voila!!! I know its not so neat in the moment but painting and some mesh is programmed in the near future! I have to say that it hasnt restarted for 7 hours now after some serious cod4 action so i think the mod did the trick!!! Any recomendations gladly accepted! ![]() ![]()

Thanks pal!
I was thinking about puting the fins on the heatpipe but unfortunately the are used on my mobo!!! The heatsink and the heatpipe get really hot though so i think the hole thing works as it should! EDIT:New pics of the openings extended and some mesh being put there will arrive soon!
