Default Need a Dremel!

Not sure if this is the right forum....

Anyway, I need a decent rotary tool for case modding and light wood finishing.

My budget for this is >$50, but if you know a really good one that is more feel free to mention it, I might be able to scrape out the cash for it.

Extra points for a good place to buy bits for it cheaply.(eBay?)

Corded Dremel>Cordless. The cordless ones just run out of battery far to quickly.

You are correct.

Corded dremels are far superior, any cordless one I've used has never been any where near as good.

The Dremel 300 is good and cheap.

Just so you know: All Dremel prodcuts carry a lifetime warranty.

If you're going to be cutting your case, you should get reinforced cutting disks.

there's quite a few downsides to owning a cordless dremel. I say get a corded dremel. if in the middle of a cut and your battery starts to die you may get a crappy cut or the dremel may stop in the middle of a cut (if you do any wood working/metal work you'd know stopping in the middle of a cut/backing out is a horrible idea).

so in my honest opinion get a corded dremel.
Good luck! & post pics of the mod bro!

Check out local pawn shops. If you have unused power tools at home then the Shop may take trades.

If you have a Harbor Freight in your area then I would check there as it is a great place to get inexpensive (but cheaply made) tools.
