Default JB Weld question

Would this work? What about with solder? Does it have enough of a surface area for the weld, and will it be able to withstand a lot of force?

Thanks

Yes that will work, I have used jb weld to fix pressurized radiators as well as weld barbs onto a heatercore and it was fine even with a lot of pulling to get tubing off the barbs

My only concern is putting the wing nut on the screw because there's almost no even contact area. Only the outer part of the screw will be contacting the nut. So would the Weld fill in that gap without a problem?

Why? The contact area, or is JB Weld not super strong?

I don't have a welder.

No I don't. Do I have any other options? I don't think anyone makes wing nut hose clamps (or at least I couldn't find them anywhere).

Grind the end down where it will almost thread and crank it on?

Sure you could figure something out.

The JB weld should hold, the stuff I used felt very strong, I could hold the filled heatercore by the tubing and the barb never moved, I would imagine the JB weld would fill in the areas.

Since the total cost of everything should only be a few bucks, why not try it and see what happens?
