The other thing you can try is to look up "Electronics Distributor" in the yellow pages. Several of those kinds of shops will have store fronts that you can go into to buy transistors, resistors, capacitors, kits and any other kind of electronics hobbiest type stuff. I have one near me and they carry all sorts of LEDs and whatever they don't have, they can typically order in. I found tons of little electronics dealers around town and got my superbright greens at a place near downtown Vancouver and they were cheap
