Default ASUS Rampage II Extreme - Intel x48 to AM3

I have spent £421 on modding this already £200 motheboard into supporting an AM3 Socket type. I didn't do this myself, it a friend of my friend's, who's a hardware systems guy for Dell. This mod is VERY unadviseable, as my motherboard has been running for barely a month and bit the dust (rather violently) last night, frying my CPU.

Any MoBo mods are inadviseable, but this is just stupid.

This was funny : 2x ATi RADEON HD5800 1GB GDDR5
Which 5800 series do you have.

This was even funnier Vista Ultimate x86 64-bit
I need to see about this version

No pictures = Didn't happen

The kind of work that this would take is unimaginable. Basically its nothing short of stripping the board to the pcb and rebuilding the AMD board on top of that. By hand.
