I have a GIF to vector converter program somewhere. If I can get it converted to a series of vectors, I can pass it through my CAM app.

The tornado cooler is awesome. The air coming out of the port is so cold it condenses to ice.

I think the noise generated by the large air compressor would drive you mad

I can live with all most anything if it will get me down a few C's......

....I bet that is great when your cutting...Hey at least you have it and it's set-up even if you don't have much time to play on it now you will eventually....

Just last night, my GF needed a custom adapter to bolt a camera arm to a magnetic base. I needed to adapt a 3/8 NC16 male screw to a 8mm metric thread (1.25 pitch I think) male screw.

So, I broke out some stock brass rod and made her one. Took an hour. Got it right the first time. I hadn't powered on the lathe in 8 months.

Damn Ira, it felt good

Makes me want to quit my day job and just play in the garage all the time. I love the feel of slicing through metal. There is something about it that just feels right. CNC doesn't really excite me much because I live the feel of doing it myself.

Yeah it's relaxing to work with your hands and very satisfying to.. I guess a CNC would be kind of impersonal I hadn't thought about that before...Thats why I don't care anything about going Phase....It's just a little humming box...Thats why I like to WC I have all kinds of things I can tweak around on with it....

Work wont last for ever try to get it over with as soon as you can....Then when you get comfortable you will have plenty of time for your hobbies....

EDIT: Sorry Burn I forgot we were in your thread...We need to start flying the Jolly Roger I guess...

Update- The control board has been ordered! Should be here on Thursday, woot! I need to design a box to hold the servo drivers, the control board and possibly a mount for the PSU to get bolted down to.
