Those are parallels, they are placed in the vise and a piece of stock is placed on top, lifting it up off the bottom of the vise so you can mill through it if need be.

Update- I called PMDX and they said they received my board today, so hopefully it'll be fixed and shipped by tomorrow That would be ideal.

Additionally, finally onlinemetals.com shipped my aluminum plate...It'll be here, you guessed it, Friday. Which means that, of course, I won't be able to pick the finished piece up until probably later next week

Got some step bits in the mail today The aluminum for the vise plate got to my buddy's house so it should be ready by Tuesday, with the PMDX board here ideally by Thursday...My goal is to have a video of it moving by Friday!
