Songbird is really good. It's a music player/organizer like iTunes featuring a built in web browser. Built off firefox.

Hi guys, great thread. Quick question. I used to use Shrink Dvd when i was using Xp. I have since changed to Vista and Shrink no longer seems to work. Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement program? Cheers

I use Winamp. It'll add and remove/reincode anything off an iPod.

HTTP File Server [HFS] has my personal recommendation. It's a tiny windows app that allows you to create a virtual filesystem by adding folders from your real filesystem. Then sharing them over the network.

Locally you just put the IP address of the PC it's installed on into a web browser and it lets you browse this "Virtual Filesystem" that you created earlier and download individual files, or folders.

Lifesaver if you don't know/don't have the time/can't be bothered to set up an FTP server.
