Any chance of you putting your "PC Crap" folder into a .zip and uploading it here?

Also, here's the new Everest Ultimate with increase compatibility: http://www.lavalys.com/products/down...?ps=UE&lang=en

One of my favorite utility discs:

UBCD4WIN - Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows

Includes MANY antivirus / malware apps as well as disk Cloning etc... you use a WinXP CD to create the UBCD4WIN, great to boot to it, run a couple of the antivirus apps to clean a computer somewhat before loading into Windows.

Between it and the UBCD, I have MOST of the apps I need.

Other than that, a nice little life save was MBRwork from TeraByte Unlimited (they have a ton of free utilities / diagnostics apps.

Lets you muck around with the MBR code...
I accidentally deleted a partition on a drive before backing it up and was able to use MBRwork to get it back...

Also, though not an app itself, there is a great site out there that lists Rogue Antispyware utilities: www.spywarewarrior.com

They do testing on anti-spyware programs and list the Rogue ones on their site, great for knowing if customer's crappy anti-spyware / AV is any good, or if its going to show a bunch of false positives... And don't forget CastleCops.com to look up all the entries in your HjT logs...

A program that has saved me many times out on a job is Bart PE. I don't think I have seen it listed yet.

U should add Eurosoft Pc-Check 6.0 to the list
it is a digonastic boot cd which is just amazingly amazing
checkes everything things from ur mobo to watever hardwear is attached on ur mobo and tests it for error, which a logable and printable.
i know some big hardware suppliers use this softwear to test the hardware if returented as faulty or RMAed

http://www.eurosoft-uk.com/pc_check.htm

Tho it is a bit expencive at
£149.95 / €230.92/ $299.90

it is worth it, or atleast looking around for it.

=======================================

they also do a Data Erasing software which is kind of useful when u wat to sell ur HDD or want to do a format like never before, it will nuke every bite on that HDD
Quote:
- Quick and easy-to-use hard drive data elimination
- Exceeds the U.S. Department of Defense standards for permanent data erasure
- Personal, Professional Corporate or military data erasing options
again pricey at
£50/$100/€77

they also do small stuff too

For an optimization utility check out Game accelerator. Pro: It's great for resource starved PC's as it suspends just about everything while you game. Con: no more alt tabbing.
