I like ToniArts EasyCleaner for cleaning up the registry. It has other handy features too and is easy to use.

I used to use jv16 powertools but it is no longer freeware. It has the advantage that it identifies software authors.

The best thing I've found against spyware is SuperAntiSpyware. Sometimes SpyBot S&D / AdAware will find spyware/malware/scumware but not be able to get rid of it. SAS is really good at getting rid of it once and for all.

Memtest86 is amazing I had a bad ram stick that was preventing my pc from booting and I used the program and it detected errors so I kept removing ram sticks till it worked then but the good error free ones back in, it saved me allot of trouble of rebooting and waiting for the OS to freeze up!
