I like ToniArts EasyCleaner for cleaning up the registry. It has other handy features too and is easy to use.

It has the advantage that it identifies software authors. http://www.macecraft.com/ The last freeware version is here: http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/index.html The best thing I've found against spyware is SuperAntiSpyware. Sometimes SpyBot S&D / AdAware will find spyware/malware/scumware but not be able to get rid of it. SAS is really good at getting rid of it once and for all. http://www.superantispyware.com/
