Some gramatical and spelling corrections and also arguments to your statements.
#1-Be smart, look at the titles, anything that is weird, that gives fake information, do not download it. You do not know that the information is fake. #2-On Limewire, most things <1MB are spyware/virus. Not necesserily, images and small sound files can also be less than a meg. #3-When you download something, you have an approximate idea on the size of the file, if the there is a big difference between your expectations and the size of the file, stay away from it. You can only get an approximate file size if you download it from the original site, which is the safer and more secure way of doing this anyway. #4-I recommend downloading zips instead of EXEs, because if your antivirus don't pick up an EXE threat on time, well, the EXE will have already enough time to do his job; and it's easier to analyze, scan and check the content of a ZIP, something you wouldn't be able to do with an EXE without decompiling it first. A zipped exe can contain a larger virus. It is not easy to scan a zip because it is compressed. #5-Softwares that are more likely to contain spyware and virus are softwares that aren't normally free, so simply pay for them or be careful... Do not download software illegally, you can be tracked down by the police and sued by the company who created the software. #6-When you see many similiar files with approximatly the same file size, there are more chance for them to be safe, EXCEPT for: reffer yourself to #2. Again, files can be less than a meg and safe. #7- When you search for something, if the search result is the same word for word (in any order) that what you searched for, all written in lower case and there are a few of them exactly alike, even if it's the appropriate format (MP3 for example), it could very likely be some kind of search bot that replicates a virus under the name of whatever you searched for. It happened to me once but it got blown off by Nod 32! This is why if you are using torrents, you use official sites which I cannot link due to the TOS. Spelling and grammar correction: #2 Would be better phrased as so: #2-On Limewire's search engine, most files <1MB are spyware or viruses. #4 Reccommend is the correct spelling. #5 Would be better phrased as so: #5-Software that is more likely to contain spyware and viruses is software that isn't normally free, so simply pay for it or be careful.. #6 Similar is the correct spelling. #6 Approximately is the correct spelling. #6 Would be better phrased as so: #6-When you see similar files with approximately the same file size, there is a bigger chance for them to be safe, EXCEPT for when #2 comes into account. Hope I helped.

Most of these steps should be taken when downloading from anywhere. In all honesty there's a few things I would never install on my computer and LimeWire is one of them.
