Default Perfectdisk 8 VS Diskeeper Pro 2008, Which is the better App for the Gamer

I am having troubles deciding between these two Apps. I have been playing around with Ultimate defrag, Which seems to be good. It places files you want in the High performance area of your hard drive for faster Performance.
But what kind of benefits will I get with either of the to apps I have mentioned.
I likw having Control to place gaming folders in the "High performance" Area on your disk, Do either Diskeeper pro 2008 or Perfectdisk 8 do that. I have read different reviews on each one, And they both sound great
Just wanted to know from some people who have tried either of those apps to comment on things that really sucked, Or things that they really liked.
Like I have stated, My Rig is Manley used for Gaming, So I would like to know if there are any plus for a gamer with either of those two apps.
And If I have completely missed a better app, Please inform me of what is better. But please you facts to support your statement. I don't want to hear, Those to apps suck, You need to try UltimateDiskcleanerMAXProPlusSuper- Premier 2008, It is awesome. Please back up your claims of a better app.
I am willing to pay for the Real key for either App I go with, Since I will be using whichever app I pick for a long time. So spending 100 bucks is a lot, But I want the Best there possibly is.
Thanx for any and all advice.

I have Dikeeper 2008 and i really love it.

It defrags your file automatic when your computer idle. Very smart, and works well.

Maybe this was just a bad experience, but I though Perfect Disk was a REALLY slow defragmenter. But again, it uses SmartPlacement, which puts the most modified files at the begginning of the drive, so the 1st run will be slow. I like Diskeeper, but I am still on the trial though. It has shorter defrags also. There is a thread about it here

Theres not going to be that much of a difference if theres one at all that you'll notice when gaming.

I was using Perfect Disk but now just use Defraggler and haven't noticed any performance or load time change in any of my games.

I say don't waste your money, seriously. Its just not worth it when theres plenty of good free options.

Perfect Disk looked nice to me and I used it for awhile. On all 3 desktops I used it on, it seems slow and even after a fresh reboot - I would still find some fragments.

I switched to Diskkeeper and I was extremely impressed. It can scan your hard drive while idle and decide how deep it should defrag when the next defrag operation is done. It shows you if your drive should or shouldnt be defraged, when and how. It also tells you what % of increase in write/read speed you'll get when you go to defrag.

The only downfall to Diskkeeper is that I personally can't get boot defrag to work on Vista or XP. And my pagefiles need to be defragged really badly. There are 30 white bricks ( thats the pagefile) all over my Vista hard drive. They should be grouped together. The only way to do this is via Boot defrag.

Can you Move certain Files to the Outer tracks for best possible performance, Like on "ultimateDefrag"??
I really like the option to put your gaming files or whatever you want into a 'High Performance' sector on the Outer Tracks.
I wish there was one App that could do it all. Sounds like Diskeeper Pro is the choice from these responses.
I'll give it one more day for anyone else to weigh in on this discussion.
I really am trying very hard to squeeze out every last drop of performance from this Rig for Crysis. That game has go me Tweaking and optimizing like there is no tomorrow.
Thanx for your help guys.

Change your settings to no pagefile , delete the files then enable again.

Note - you have to restart computer before you delete..

I prefer perfect disk any day of the week....I use it for Vista x64, and I'm not really sure if Diskeeper works with it......I've been using PD since XP. The offline defrag is great, and really fast.
The main thing that turned me off to diskkeeper was all of the automatic things that run....I don't like that.
