This guy had a similar idea
I tried Googling for it first, but no luck.. but it looks like one other person had a similar idea... Is there a plugin that will pull up tabs automatically, sort of like the Lyrics Plugin brings up lyrics automatically? I like how I skip to the next song using Windows Media Player and the lyrics are displayed on the visualization frame. Can you imagine how awesome it'd be to ALT+TAB to windows media player while browsing the net while listening to a song you like and be able to pick up your acoustic and have the tabs already loaded? A lot better than going to ultimate-guitar.com, searching and downloading a Guitar Pro file.. -shrugs- What do you guys think? Is there something out there?

I'm pretty sure there isn't, I have looked for it....
though it doesn't seem it would be too hard to make if you knew what you were doing...

![]() they have a program that displays lyrics in wm player. someone just needs to write a plug in like this one above but instead of looking up the lyrics it show the guitar tab from like www.ultimate-guitar.com/ or whatever. If I knew How, I would. It might make some money |

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to create. Just read the artist and song title tags from the MP3/WMA file, search it on Ultimate-Guitar, find the result with the highest rating and display it. Most tabs include the lyrics, too, with the chords above the word in which the chord is played, so it would be especially useful for songs you want to play along with and not have to switch between two windows. I hope someone makes this :-P
