Default .THM video files
So I got a new Canon SX100 IS for basic point and shoot. I took some videos with it (low quality) and discovered that the files are like this:

MVI_0504.avi
MVI_0504.THM
I need to be able to convert them into something workable, supported by Adobe.

I check the mighty google for some advice but nothing was really helpful. Any suggestions for converting or some other way of making it usable?

When I try to play the video with windows media player, it only plays the sound and no video. When I try to open it with Dvix it says that no video is present.

have you tried quicktime or VLC or media player classic?

When I open the .avi it only plays sound. Is there a codec that I am missing? I have worked with a lot of video, but only .avi and never had any issues.

I was able to get them to play with VNC but I had to repair them. THey still wont play with anything else.
