Default Please help, pictures ruined..

I have been using Picasa2 to manage my photos, but recently I found that lots of my photos have been partially colored out. I would greatly appreciate any help that could possibly restore these pictures, or even if anyone know what caused it. Here is a few examples:

Thanks!

Did they come that way off of the SD card? I have seen a card die and start doing that.. can also be a bad reader or camera.....

Oh, and yes, that is unrecoverable at this end. Now if they are still on the SD card that is another story.. (It is possible they are ok)

These pictures were taken about a year ago, and they were good when I downloaded them, I noticed it like that just today.

Did you download them? As in "Save Target As" (in IE) ? or did the picture load in IE and you clicked "Save Picture As". Sometimes if it loads in IE, the pictures load like that. Try downloading them or refreshing the browser.

I had that problem a few times with images I had taken using a Kodak and edited with photoshop. There are programs out there that will restore corrupted jpg files, however I did not have any luck. Maybe they'll work better for you.

I'll be curious if that pixrecovery works for you. What they do is you can download a free demo and if you like it then you can pay for it. It didn't fix my pics tho so I unsintalled it. Some people swear by it.
