Question RIP DVD to PC

What's the BEST program there is for converting a movie from DVD to my PC?.. I have had a few and they all work but seem to lose quality in the process.. Is there a program that can make a perfect copy of a DVD so i can watch them on my pc?

Thanks for any help

Do you want one that copies the whole 4.5gb of the dvd or creates a small avi file?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdmb/ will make a divx files of the said dvd.

DVD decrypter (google for download) will rip the whole dvd.

I would use dvd shrink. It will let you rip a dvd to your hd either in iso, or in a folder and if you don't want to lose quality just don't compress it. I think it is still free too, no trial or anything.

Edit: You know you can also plug in your system specs by going to the user cp and on the left side there will be an add system and an edit system button. Or keep them the way the are, either is fine.

For the best quality I would say rip an image and mount what ever DVD you want to watch with a virtual drive. This will however take up lots of space since you will have to save the entire uncompressed DVD on you computer.

Ok i will give that a try I had a look about an hour ago but they wanted me to pay for it.. But im sure i'll find a way around that

I have the full version of clone DVD and thats REALLY easy to use and pretty fast, but when it's done it looks a bit grainy..

Magic DVD Ripper.

The license is something like 35 dollars, but it's worth it.

dvd shrink is free. If it wanted you to pay....you need to find another link.

Ok I just tried that one and it is still making poor quality copies.. It looks great if i leave the window quite small but as soon as i open it to full screen it loses alot of quality.. Is there no way to replicate how the original DVD would play it?

P.S. When copying i copy it as an AVI file.. Is that the problem? should i be copying it as a different type of file?

thats because you are stretching 720x480 video to you monitors resolution. Just sit back a little and you won't notice it.
