Not sure if I will be able to explain this well, but I have a video that I'm editing and I don't know how to cover someone's face up...Kind of like how on the news they might blur someones face out, only I want to just cover it up with a picture instead of just blurring it out. Where would I even start, and with what programs?
I have video editing software and flash software and I tried to mess around with them and I can do everything I want, but the mask lol. Any tips or links to tutorials will be helpful...I tried to find some on my own, but the ones that I found I didn't really understand. Thanks in advance.

Adobe After Effects might be able to.
__________________Even if it doesn't, you can use its object tracking to create a block or a circle, and once you get that done I'll teach you how to use Avisynth to use that block or circle you created as a mask to apply blurring or pixelate that area only. So your mission: learn how to use After Effects to mask their face, OR learn how to use it to put a square on somebody's face to hide it (which is what we will use as a mask later). If you can't do the first option, PM me once you get the second option done.

Cool, starting now. Do you think that there would be a way that I could take a jpeg image and put it over the face or is this not possible?

__________________![]() After Effects handles kinda like Photoshop, so it shouldn't be toooooooooo hard to do the tracking if you know how to use PS. Also, uh, I missed the part with the image in the OP. Won't need my help if that's what you wanna do =p

Okay, thanks. I'm about to head to work now, but you will most likely hear from me later when I get lost trying to finish this project lol.

Well, uh, I don't know how to use AFX myself, I just know it's possible (as I've seen others do it) ;p

This is kind of what I'm looking to achieve...Only in video form. Not sure if this really helps anyone or not, but I wasn't sure if I had it explained right.
![]() And btw, I certainly have a new found respect for anyone in the video editing world...I always knew it was hard, but there's a lot more put into it than I had originally thought.
