Exclamation CloneZilla!!

Ok, so I just found this program myself, and maybe everyone else already knew about it, but just in case there is 1 person I can help by posting, I will.

FREE FREE FREE version of norton ghost.

I LOVE CLONEZILLA!

2 versions. Both Free. One for single computer use, and one for installing to a lab or lanparty (put the same windows install with all apps and games onto 5 computers. All identicle. Rename them all Dolly.)

free and open source
Disk to disk straight cloning (with or without bootloader. Can put GRUB in there for you if you like it better)

Disk to Image (great for making custom linux OS or even just creating a backup point for windows.)

Image to Disk Restore (to "fresh" install windows with your apps already there!)

COMES WITH MEMTEST86+ BUILT IN!!!
can load grub

can run live, or LOAD TO RAM SO YOU CAN EJECT CD AND BACKUP TO A DVDR or somesuch.

Everyone needs this for emergencies.

Burn the 95 MB ISO to a cd, and boot from it when you want to run it. (its actually a mini linux, but you would never know unless you watch the verbose startup with all those lines flying by and recognize what they are from using linux in the past...)

CLONEZILLA FTW.

I haven't tried it on raid setups, but I think it does - check the website for details, they tell you all about themselves. AND claim to be a free opensource version of Ghost themselves.

I'm checking for raid compatibility now...

from my googling, aparently CloneZilla DOES NOT SUPPORT SOFTWARE RAID, but hardware raid seems to work. I don't know anythign about it, though, so don't ask!
