Anyone know of a virtual environment to pull this off in?

not sure about that, was looking for it myself, but right now I'm using Microsoft's Virtual PC with a Win95 virtual hard disk image...finally playing those good old games

Hmm...it should work with either VirtualBox or VMware, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to install the VM software (the software to make it run more natively)

I thought you couldn't access physical hardware on a virtual box (i.e. video card). Unless, you were running old enough games that they could run on a software-virtualized video card.

If it doesn't need hardware 3D acceleration, it should work in a WIndows 95/98 virtual machine.

DX3 is pre-3D hardware, so you should be OK.

Maybe try DOSbox. I play win95 games on my mac with it.
