Default Help me delete

So here it is ...
today I formated my dads laptop and reinstalled windows vista and here is what I found:
My dad, a while ago, copied the program files and windows folders to the second partition ... he thought that he could save windows by copying these two folders to the other partition
Now, whatever I try to do, I just canīt delete these folders ... I even tried in safe mod ...
Is there a foce delete program or something? these 2 folders take 10GB of space and I really want them deleted.
thx in advance

The permissions are in the files so he would still be unable to delete them, and live CDs usually can't change stuff like permissions.

You need to take ownership of these files. The old user still owns them. You should now be able to find your answer through Google in seconds.

I've tried my arse off with permissions and ownership and all that ... that was the first thing I tried ... wouldn't let me change ANYTHING

Give Unlocker a whirl- It's FREEware so it can't hurt to try it!

This is a easy one. Use Unlocker . What happens is files loaded for some reason need those files and its stuck in memory it doesn't delete.

With unlocker , it finds the dll or exe and shuts it down then you delete your stuff.

Cuz often times you can't end task on svchost.exe ,, etc,,

it will say permission dont worry, just go to the folders your dads,, and right click and unlock ,, Are you 32 bit OS btw ,,? and gl
