Whenever I'm on facebook or myspace for an extended period of time, Firefox likes to stop responding on those sites. I can browse other sites just fine, but I've noticed it doesn't seem to like those two sites. I'm not sure what the problem is. I can click on a link and it won't show the page loading or anything, it just hangs.
I have Tab Mix Plus, TwitterFox and the Skype add-ons installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox hoping it would solve the problem. I didn't delete my bookmarks and everything, though. If there's anything else you need to know, just ask.

I guess I'll stick with the inferior Opera or give Google Chrome a try. Thanks for all the help.

Epic bump.
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and Firefox is still angering me. I like some of the functions in Opera (like CTRL+Enter to log in to sites), but I hate the browser itself. I'd really like to get Firefox working correctly, the way it used to. Do I have to roll back to 3.0.x? It worked just fine back then. It just doesn't make sense because I have 3.5.4 on my laptop, but it runs 32-bit Windows 7.

its because the latest firefox has issues with IE, apparently when IE updates they added something that prevents you from pretty much using other browsers. It was reported by firefox staff and when I had the same issues they told me to try their newest beta and I havnt had a problem since. its also an issue with flash that causes instability. changing to the beta fixes most issues i had
