Default PowerISO using all my RAM - 4GB

Hi everyone,

Take a look at this, is it normal for PowerISO to use this much RAM ???

This happens when i mount and image and run it from a virtual drive.

Lol powerISO is stealing your RAM nanometers.
Check to see if there is a new version of powerISO.
What you describing is called memory leak

Yeah, it's powerISO's problem.

Check this thread out:

http://www.overclock.net/windows/598...mory-leak.html

I highly reccomend Virtual Clone Drive (free) as an alternative.

Edit: I'm not sure if a new version of it is out, but Virtual Clone Drive is much better, being a long time powerISO user myself.

Since you are running 7 simply burn the ISO with the Windows Disc Image Burning Utility. Doesn't have the glitch so you should be fine until a patch fixes PowerISO.

Or if you have to mount them, use Daemon Tools. Better emulation usually anyways.

You should go to Resource Monitor and look for the Private column under Memory. Perhaps PowerISO has too much memory committed to Private memory, which never gets released to other applications.
