This isn't a list full of epic fail, it's an epic fail list, with items in it that are more or less controversial among IT professionals. Incidentally, I hope the author of this article finds a new job, in a different profession.

1: Windows Vista

What a disaster! Could Microsoft have assembled a bigger failure if it tried? Well, possibly. But Microsoft wasn’t trying to make a failure — it was trying to make the best of the best. The result was the worst of the best.
Quote:

6: MP3

I know, I know — it isn’t a flop, exactly, but the MP3 format is on this list because of all the licensing issues it has caused. On the Linux operating system alone, MP3 isn’t installed on most distributions, by default, because of licensing issues. As a result, users scramble to get MP3 support built into their various tools. This causes as much hair loss as MP3 causes audio quality loss. There are much better formats out there without the licensing issues, people!
.......

Vista was NOT a failure. I wouldn't be using it if it was. I didn't use ME, and it was a failure.

MP3 is the best thing that ever happened to digital music. Sure, there's better quality formats(Lol FLAC), but when someone says portable music, guess what file format pops into their head...

Hell, I've never heard of a "FLAC" player...or a "WAV Player"....They're called MP3 players for a reason.

That video I linked sums up this article pretty well. Hey, what about that little oops that put half of the middle east offline for a few months while slowing down any through traffic that happened to be passing by? I'd say that's a huge IT disaster, probably bigger than all ten on the list...they only dropped something really heavy on the main internet arteries, cutting two of them completely in half.

On a somewhat unrelated note, someone employ the guys aiming that object as snipers. They managed to hit those cables from the deck of a boat that was pitching around in the sea.

The Vista on my machine is exactly as it was on Launch. No updates, no service packs, no hotfixes. Guess what? It runs just fine!
