By flash drive you mean. The chip aye?
__________________Or do you mean, a USB key? If the former - I would get into the lil USB enclosures (so u can stick right into a USB port). And I would set up a mobile PC on it. That is - a nice linux Distro, and Windows XP Guide here: I would use portable apps with the windows installation -and really customize things on the windows side - would also store CS:S The linux side would be my production centre -where I'd have open office, and the like. You'd be able to carry your PC (the software aspect) with you ANYWHERE. Any internet cafe' or whatever you visit - you could just boot to USB - and have all your stuff ![]() (given that the PC you're using isnt too old, and supports USB booting). The computer doesnt even need to have a HDD

Check out a nifty little program called uNetBootin. I use it all the time to install different distros onto flash drives and the like.

Another program for you to try: MobaLiveCD. I use it to test out my SuSE Studio distros before installing them on a flash drive
![]() Basically, it let's you take a LiveCD image and run it in Windows. It's similar to a virtual machine.

I have used Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, and my latest little compilation of Open SuSE 11.1 running KDE with some custom packages (SuSE Studio, look it up). They don't boot up on my main rig, which is weird, so I just use my little server to test it out. It works brilliantly
