Default What to do with .php?

I was browsing the wallpaper section of skinbase.org and downloaded two wallpapers. All of a sudden I realized they were .php's. What do I do with a .php? Do I need certain software for it?

I think so, PHP is generaly a website interface, but I belive that when used with the programs such as those on the site Beatle listed, it can be used to compress info as well.

Erm. You downloaded the wrong thing then..

All the wallpapers I see on that site are JPG. Just save them as a BMP.
