Heat Warning For anyone getting Powder Coating
Hello everyone. As most of you know, powder coating is done by applying a plastic polimer via electrostatic gun to a metallic part. Then that part is heated in an oven to make the powder "flow out" and cure it.
Well, here in the midwest we are hitting over 100* every day and because of this, I have to change my shipping of my powder. When the powder has to sit in a delivery truck over the weekend, it can and will partially cure in the container that it's in. So, becuse of this, I'm only ordering powder Sat through Tue. This will ensure that it gets here by Friday. Because I'm trying to keep pricing down on this, I cna't order with overnight shipping. My supplyer is only 2 day shipping but they have done this same thing. They will not ship out powder if it will sit in a truck for more time than it would normally take. I hope you all understand this. If not, feel free to ask questions. All in all, If you send me your case on a Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun (I know, you can't ship on sun lol) I will not order the powder until Monday so that I'm sure I will get fresh powder and not a clump of crap lol. |
