oh wow. don't think I'll be able to participate this time around, but I look forward to competing in the future.

Yes, we've extended the duration of the competition compared to last year. Last year registration was open for 1 month and builds had to be completed 2 months after registration closed; this year registration is open for 1 3/4 months and builds have to be completed 5 months thereafter.

yeah, i was just thinking, i'm pretty sure i'll be finished with my build by then, but i don't think i can get my hands on a digital camera before the registration deadline

Hey Rado, I have a question pertaining to the rules.

I have no way to obtain acrylic in person, nor the tools to cut acrylic. Would it be ok to have a friend pick the acrylic up for me and cut them? ALL of the designing and assembly will be done by myself. Only the pick up and cutting will be done by the friend.

Certainly the transportation of materials is not an issue.

I don't think having him cut the acrylic should pose a problem provided you're doing the majority of the work for the project as a whole.

Is it still eligible if the case is 100% scratch built, or does it have to be based on an exsisting one?
