As long as the finished product is a PC case it's fine; scratch builds and such are all welcome.

Here's a question(I'm pretty sure that you won't like it): I made my latest build on a cork board, because i don't have a case in the moment. Does that have a chance in the competition?

This competition is all about modding/building a PC case within the time frame of the competition; simply placing hardware onto cork board does not constitute a case mod.
